Welcome to SCDA Community Resources Home Page!
We believe in carrying the message of our Program to other compulsive debtors so that they might understand what we have come to know about debting, and experience the relief we have found. When reaching out to those who are still suffering, our Twelve Traditions state that it is through attraction rather than promotion that we help other debtors.
Our primary purpose is to live without incurring any unsecured debt, one day at a time, and to help other debtors achieve solvency. To that end we are supplying you with information, and the names/numbers of some members you may interview [please call JP, our Southern California Public Information Chair, for the current list: he is at pi@socalda.org, or 818/249-7881; the list may also be obtained through resource@socalda.org, or the SoCal DA Office Manager, Joy M., at 818/429-9806].
In return for our cooperation, we request:
1.) That our anonymity be strictly respected.
You may only use any member's first name, plus the first initial of his/her last name.
2.) That you list contact information for Southern California Debtors Anonymous (www.socalda.org) and (if possible) the World Service Office of Debtors Anonymous. (www.debtorsanonymous.org)
3.) That you supply both SCDA and the DA-GSO with tearsheets, CDs, or DVDs of your article within five days of when it appears:

4.) Because there are no experts in DA--only members helping other members--we ask that the following statement be made clear to your audience:
"The stories shared today express the opinions and experiences of the individual member, and not necessarily those of Debtors Anonymous as a whole."
Thank you for your interest in Debtors Anonymous; we hope that we have been of service to you--as well as to the compulsive debtor who still suffers.
